Sunday Experience
IT ALL STARTS WITH SUNDAYS.
Sundays are the biggest day of the week here at Citizen Church! It’s when we have the opportunity to cast vision, inspire, and encourage the people who call our church home. We strive to make sure that every Sunday is excellent and distraction free. We believe that this makes a way for God to move in the lives of the people of our church. Sunday Experience includes: Connection, Welcome Team, Worship, Production, Design, Communication, and Kid’s Ministry.
CONNECTION
Getting people connected to the local church is one of the most vital things we do! Whether it is on a Sunday or throughout the week, we want to make sure that each person who comes into our church has an opportunity to find community and be a part of what is happening here.
WELCOME TEAM
The Welcome Team makes sure that everyone who walks in on a Sunday is met with a smiling face and helpful directions! We set the tone for all our attendees. From the parking lot to the seat in the auditorium—we are there.
WORSHIP
At Citizen Church, one of our core values is “We Passionately Worship”, and we take that seriously! We work hard to put together intentional and well-rehearsed set lists that allow our church to experience the presence of God within a service.
PRODUCTION
The way that a service is organized is essential on a Sunday. We strive to ensure that the service experience is distraction free and a Sunday message can be clearly conveyed. Through audio, visuals, and lighting design, we are devoted to excellence.
DESIGN
Good design that is functional, authentic, and attractive will convey the right message and not repel the unbeliever. At Citizen, we fully invest in this philosophy using web, photo/video, graphic design and more to tell a story.
COMMUNICATION
We have the opportunity to make a first impression with guests before they come through the front doors. From social media to mass email and website, it is incredibly important how your church is portrayed to the outside world.
KID’S MINISTRY
Kid’s Ministry is a huge part of making Sundays the best experience for everyone! If you want a healthy, vibrant, exciting church, then your Kid’s Ministry should be all those things, too!
Ministries
MANY PARTS, ONE PURPOSE.
The ministries division at Citizen Church oversee the ministries that happen during the week. These ministries can have a major impact on the community inside and outside the church. The ministires section includes: Local & Global Outreach, Community, Discipleship, Youth, and Generosity Ministries.
LOCAL & GLOBAL OUTREACH
The local church is the hope of the world and that hope can’t only be contained in the church’s four walls. Local and global outreach allows us to show our community—near and far—the love of Christ.
COMMUNITY
Establishing a way for people to find friends and make connections at church is essential! We want everyone to truly feel like their church is family.
DISCIPLESHIP
The great commission employs us to “make disciples,” but that isn’t always straight forward in church today. We want to show you how we’re discipling people here at Citizen.
Youth
From students to parents, teenage years are difficult to navigate. Our goal is to help students know who Jesus is and grasp the hope that we have in Him—to enable them for a future God has for them.

“We Live To Give” is one of our core values here at Citizen and there are people in our church that make this their main form of involvement!
Operations
TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK.
Operations is one of the areas of church that sometimes can be forgotten; it doesn’t always feel like traditional “ministry,” but our organizations can only be as strong as the people and systems that run it. From finance to human resources, to leadership and care, Operations must be an essential part of your organizational strategy.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Human Resources ensures that our church is a great place to work, not for a prize, but to steward the people who have decided to make servanthood their occupation.
FINANCE
Budgets, cashflow, and projections are not just for large organizations or businesses. Your church can benefit from financial strategies.
FACILITIES
Our church buildings are where ministry happens, so it is important that we keep the “house” in the best shape.
LEADERSHIP
The church leadership structure is in place to ensure that everyone stays above reproach and we can accelerate the vision of our church.
CARE
When the people of our church come onto hard times, it is essential that we care for them the best we can. Our care ministry is how we are able to go above and beyond for the people who call Citizen their home through the unexpected in life. From funerals to congregational benevolence—we love to care for our people.

Our teams, visiting pastors, and any guests we have are important to us, so we show them care and love when they’re in our building.

Because it’s hard to get started sometimes, we want to offer you a place to experience all the online resources you have access to, IN ACTION. We want to be a place where you have something tangible to start from at every level, whether it be on paper or in-person. Come experience what Co-Church means to Citizen Church through a weekend service, a customized visit just for you to get your questions answered, or something in-between.

We know how heavy life can feel at times and especially a life in ministry. Co-Church wants to come alongside you and offer you a place to be poured into through a time of retreat. Our Annual Retreat is a time to build community with other churches, be invested in through leadership sessions, and an overall time to escape the chaos of the world (as much as a church can). That being said, ask us about Hawaii!
